Boys in the Bath

Created by blomcooper 12 years ago
I remember a photograph of two cousins both aged about 7 years old in a bath with boyish crops of hair spiked into impossible mohicans and mouths wide and agog with the hilarity of it all. The cousins were James and my brother George. I am not sure whether or not I was in the bathroom to witness the scene. However, I remember it as if I was there and I love it for what it represents: youth, vitality, humour, living in the moment.... I have realised recently that these were characteristics that never left James and he was as likely to spike his hair in the bath aged 33 as he was aged 7! Lucky James!
